Ribbon Blender (also named ribbon mixer) is a basic industrial mixing machine. They consist, basically, of a trough-shaped shell (usually 2 to 3 times longer than it is wide) with a semicircular bottom, fitted with a horizontal longitudinal shaft on which are mounted arms supporting a combination of ribbon blades, paddles or helical screws set at a fairly close clearance to the semicircular mixer body so that no layer of material remains on the bottom of the ribbon mixer. The most effective design of ribbon layout is the double spiral in which the outer ribbon moves the product in one direction and the inner ribbon moves it in the opposite direction. The ribbons rotate and move materials both radially and laterally to insure thorough blends in short cycle times. Construction Material:- All of our standard series ribbon blenders are manufactured in 304 Stainless Steel. SS304 meets food grade requirements; and offers exceptional resistance to corrosion, wear and tear, and ensures a long life and the value of your equipment. For certain applications where high levels of corrosive agents are present, we can manufacture in SS316, SS316L Mild Steel.

Agitators:- The name sake of Masterly ribbon blenders feature double helical ribbon agitators fit to a solid stainless steel shaft. We also offer paddle style agitators, as well as ribbon mixers with scraper blades.

Drive Motors:- Masterly Blenders utilize direct drive style gear motors to power our equipment. Direct drive systems have proven highly reliable and require less maintenance than traditional chain drive systems. Our standard drive motors offer a service factor for continual mixing throughout the day. Based on the capacity of your equipment we offer a drive motor consistent for normal mixing conditions; although we can modify this to higher powered equipment, different RPM and variable speed drive systems if requested.

Shaft Seals:- Our ribbon blenders come standard with our Masterly packing glands. Packing glands feature a Teflon style rope which is compressed against the end plate, creating a barrier to keep the mixing product in the trough. These work very well for both dry and wet mixing applications. As an upgrade for your blender we also offer air purged seals for powders or slurry mixes. These air seals are ideal for scenarios requiring caustic wash downs and sanitary requirements. These seals are easy to disassemble for regular cleaning and offer years of service.

Discharge system:- Based on your mixing requirements your blender can be fitted with different styles of discharge systems. Our most common style discharge is a butterfly valve and Knife Gate Valve, Screw Conveyor. Our blender’s standard height is to set the discharge 10” from the ground, allowing for a pallet and barrel below the equipment. This height can be increased or decreased based on your needs.

Covers:- Our blenders come standard with hand open lids. (Equiped with Hydraluic Cylender for easy lifiting) As an optional feature, we can add a pneumatic cylinder for lifting.

Safety Systems:- Masterly ribbon blenders are built with safety as our highest priority. Masterly ribbon blenders standard is to include ALL of our available safety equipment. These systems include limit switches to prevent the agitator from turning when the lid is open. We also offer safety grates on the top and discharge. All safety labeling is standard as well on Masterly equipment.
